Twitter Introduces ‘ReTweet’ Feature

Twitter has been rolling out a ton of new features. The latest feature currently in beta is Twitter’s new ‘ReTweet’ feature!

Many people have been ‘retweeting’ manually by prefacing a tweet with ‘RT’. Twitter, learning from this, decided to add a simple, easy to use button that will automatically retweet any post that you want.

If you have been selected to be a part of this brand new BETA feature, you will see a box that looks like this at the top of your Twitter Homepage:

RT SS

Twitters new BETA Retweet feature really simplifies the use of twitter and is the start of Twitter cleaning up there format. To retweet another users posts, instead of prefacing your texts with ‘RT Username’ you simply have to click the button shown below:

RT SS2

After clicking the ‘Reweet’ button, the post you are viewing will automatically be posted to your page! Your new post will appear on your page and your followers newsfeed like this:

RT SS2

If somebody you are following does a retweet of somebody you’re not following, it will still appear on your newsfeed like above. It will have the ‘Retweet’ icon and the username of the original post.

The Retweet feature is yet another great tool Twitter has introduced along with the lists tool! I’ll be posting some great videos explaining a bit more in depth on how to use both of these new features. Also, if you haven’t yet don’t forget to add me on Facebook and Twitter by clicking the icons at the top right of this page!

Comment and let me know you guys think!
To Your Success,

Adam Kappel
